Please join the Prince George’s County Historical Society for its March 27, 2023, History Chat with Brian Callicott and John Peter Thompson on Zoom at 7:00 PM.  They will march into a discussion about Brian’s research on the history, heritage, people, places and culture of the Town of Upper Marlboro. Registration details for the History Chat are below.

Brian is an amateur historian who has lived in Prince George's County his entire life and moved to the Town of Upper Marlboro in 2010 with his wife, Patti, into the historic home, Content, built c.1787.  He gained his love of history from his parents who made the Sunday roadtrip (museums, battlefields, parks) a weekly event, rain or shine, and his mother's parents who worked for many years as "farmers" at the Mountain Farm Museum in the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina.  Since 2012, he and his wife have supported the Town of Upper Marlboro Historical Committee (TUMHC) for events in the Town and collecting and posting about history on the TUMHC Facebook website.
