The Friends of the Bladensburg Library invites you to attend the our monthly meetings in the newly opened building at 4820 Annapolis Rd, Bladensburg, MD. These monthly meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month. A Spanish interpreter will be present.
Founded in 1997, the Friends of the Bladensburg Library provides volunteers to help support programs offered by our branch staff. Our activities are funded primarily through sales of donated books, available to buy at low cost from the Friends book cart at the library.
While our activities were recently limited due to the small size of the temporary library during the construction of the new library, past programs where Friends helped include Storytime, Family Game Night, Lego Club, Tutoring in English and Math, and English Conversation Club.
Ways you can help now:
— Donate books for us to sell to support our work
— Buy books from the Friends’ Book Cart
— Maintain the Friends Book Cart
— Join the Friends and run for office to help direct the future of the Friends of the Bladensburg Library
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, January 16th, or any Third Tuesday of the month from 7 – 8 PM. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors. Everyone is welcome. Thank you.
