Cheverly Village is taking the initiative to form a walking group that will meet once a week to walk on the  cushioned indoor track at the Sports and Learning Center.  It is an easy walk for someone using a cane. There is elevator access to the tract and admission is free from 8 AM to Noon.  If there is an event on the field tract, the track around the Fitness Center is available. 

With new found endurance and confidence, the group can plan adventures to some of the walking trails in the area such as at Lake Artemesia in College Park, Buddy Attick Lake Park around Greenbelt Lake, or the Anacostia Trail at Bladensburg Waterfront Park.  

 

At the moment we are able to provide rides for up to 6 persons.  Call the Coordinator to request a ride.
