Cheverly Village's walking group  mets once a week to walk on the cushioned indoor track at the Sports and Learning Center.  It is an easy walk for someone using a cane or a walker.   There is elevator access to the tract and admission is free to the public (all ages) until Noon Monday through Friday.  If there is an event on the field tract, the Fitness Center track upstairs is available free to seniors M-W-F until Noon, as is the exercise equipment. 

With new found endurance and confidence, the group can plan adventures to some of the walking trails in the area such as at Lake Artemesia in College Park, Buddy Attick Lake Park around Greenbelt Lake, or the Anacostia Trail at Bladensburg Waterfront Park. Let's walk to keep moving or be left behind.  

 

At the moment we are able to provide rides for up to 6 persons.  Call the Coordinator to request a ride.
