Your guide for this pontoon trip will be one of the Park's historians. Bladensburg was a major port city in this area in colonial times and was involved in the 1812 war with the British. Wear sturdy shoes to negotiate the dock and the ramp that connects the dock to the pontoon. The pontoon is acessible for wheelchairs and bathrooms are located by the boat house. Please register for this event and call the Coordinator if you are in need of a ride. Carpolling is advised as parking near the boat launch is limited.
For those who would like to have lunch at Pennyroyal Station in Mr. Rainier after the pontoon ride, register on the Events List by Friday, May 13.
