July 2017 Cheverly Newsletter

Cheverly Village invites you:

BEING MORTAL – July 18th

Join us for a free screening and discussion of the PBS FRONTLINE documentary BEING MORTAL.  Based on the best-selling book by Dr. Atul Gawande, this film explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with the doctors, nurses, and family members who care for them.

See the film and be part of a national conversation taking place in our community that asks: “Have you and your family had these important conversations and planned ahead?”

WHERE: Busboys and Poets, 5331 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781

WHEN: Tuesday, July 18, 2017

TIME: Registration: 5:30 p.m.; Screening and Discussion: 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

ORGANIZED BY: Cheverly Village and Capital Caring, a provider of palliative care

CO-SPONSORED BY:  Several organizations that provide services to seniors; our neighboring village, Hyattsville Aging in Place; and several generous local professionals.  While there is no charge to attend the event, additional donations are welcome.
